King.
Wise Blood (John Huston; 1979)
This is a beautifully strange and interesting film. I especially loved the sequence in which Enoch goes to the Gonga gorilla show. The movie made me really want read the book by Flannery O’Conner, whose work I just became passingly familiar with earlier this semester when I read her (excellent) short story “A Late Encounter With the Enemy.” It also made me want to see more John Huston besides the obvious stuff.
